ORWES / Project planning
Connect decisions, materials and delivery
Organise material procurement around drawing approvals, supplier information, sample decisions and the sequence in which your project needs deliveries.

Start with a clear brief
A useful first conversation does not need every detail to be final. Share the project location, type of building, current stage and the decisions you need help with. Mark which drawings and quantities are confirmed and which are still being developed.
- Current drawings with revision dates and dimensions
- Product categories, approximate quantities and preferred finishes
- Target timing, site access and intended delivery scope
- The people responsible for design, technical approval and ordering
Make dependencies visible
List the decisions that must be resolved before quotations, production or shipment can move forward. Assign an owner to each question and record when an answer is needed.
Keep the schedule realistic by confirming production and delivery assumptions with the suppliers involved. Separate the requested date from a date that has actually been agreed, and review any changes with the project team.
Confirm before committing
Keep the approved specification, samples and quotation together. Confirm inclusions, exclusions, quantities, packaging and delivery responsibilities in writing. A sample can help establish appearance; it does not replace the product information and project checks needed for the intended application.
When a decision changes, update the schedule and drawings before the next stage. Ask the relevant project professional to review installation requirements and applicable product documentation.
